A walk through the woods in April. Lounging by the pool in June. Curled up with a book in October. Or feeling like you’ve got a country estate all to yourself in January. Spring Cottage makes a perfect getaway in any season.
So the question is: when will you go?
In Autumn, the grounds provide a blaze of red and orange, and on a bright, crisp day there’s nothing better than tramping through the fallen leaves in the woods around Spring Cottage. Underfoot you’ll find seasonal ferns and fungi. Ovehead you’ll spot everything from wild ducks to skylarks.
Need a rest? Blackawton’s favourite watering holes, The Normandy Arms and The George, are your best bet. That’s if you feel the need to walk at all. Autumn’s the perfect time to tuck into some lovely home cooking at the local pub – or just tuck yourself away at the cottage with a good book and a glass of wine.
